ABOUT MARY CLARE
Howdy! My name is Mary Clare, and I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas. My family relocated to Sherman, Texas in 2010. I have a big sister, a little sister, and two little dogs! When I’m not in school or at home, you’ll find me at Shawnda Rains Studios in Denison, Texas, where I take all of my vocal, piano, and dance lessons. It’s my home away from home!
My parents have always kept my sisters and I very active. I started in gymnastics and ballet classes when I was four, and then started playing soccer and basketball. I love archery, painting, crafts, and much to my mother’s dismay I love to make slime! I’ve also been a part of our town’s local theater workshops. I love anything creative and fun!
My first debut on a real stage was at the Rialto Theater in Denison, Texas, when I was seven years old. Since then I have performed on that stage more times than I can remember! In August of 2018 I was a finalist in the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame’s Showcase in Carthage, Texas, and Linda Davis was our emcee! It was such an honor to be chosen as a finalist and to meet her! I’ve also performed at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, the McSwain Theatre in Ada, Oklahoma, and the Rodeo Opry in Oklahoma City. I had an amazing opportunity to travel with Shawnda Rains Entertainment Group last summer to Branson, Missouri, where I performed as a soloist and with my troupe on several stages throughout Branson.
I’m still a young girl, and I’m very blessed to have such a busy life! One thing I know for sure is that I love to perform and I am passionate about singing! I know that God has given me a gift, and I want to challenge myself and learn as much as I can to honor Him and the blessings He has given me!
